Yesterday morning in northeast Atlanta, a series of connected shooting incidents left one woman injured by glass and numerous vehicles damaged by gunfire. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers responded to the 2100 block of Cheshire Bridge Road shortly after 3 a.m., where they discovered two vehicles struck by bullets and a woman who had suffered minor injuries from shattered glass. The police believe the shooting occurred during what appeared to be a parking lot meet-up, though the exact details and motive are currently unknown.
A second related event unfolded on the same road, where eyewitnesses reported hearing rapid gunfire and seeing vehicles quickly leaving the scene. A blue Dodge Charger was found on Cheshire Bridge Road NE near Lindbergh Drive and La Vista Road riddled with bullet holes, yet no casualties were reported. The situation left a third location under scrutiny a mile and a half away on Monroe Drive near Piedmont Park, where at least one woman was attended to by emergency services and transported to the hospital. No suspects have been named in connection to the shootings, nor have any arrests been announced. Officers at the scene have yet to determine the type of weapon used and the number of shots fired.
