The northern Atlanta suburb of Woodstock has initiated the first phase of its latest city improvement effort, the Streetscapes VI Project. As reported by the city's official news release, this endeavor embarks on a transformative journey starting from Main Street and stretching west to 113 Towne Lake Parkway. Contractors have recently received the green light to begin construction, with a deadline set for the end of the year.
Woodstock’s plan to extend streetscape improvements west of Main Street aims to boost both the town’s charm and its walkability. The project includes new sidewalks, crosswalks, and better lighting to improve safety for pedestrians.
