Residents in Wright County should prepare for a minor shake-up in their daily commute as roadwork is set to commence this month. The Wright County Highway Department has announced that starting October 20, the intersection of CSAH 35 and CSAH 8 will be closed for soil corrections as groundwork for the upcoming roundabout project in 2026.
Foreseeing the impact, officials have arranged for a detour encompassing CSAH 9, CSAH 8, and County Road 132. Those who frequent the CSAH 8 bridge will find their detour route revised to circumvent the intersection work. Travelers can expect these changes to persist for approximately three weeks, finishing up around mid-November, weather permitting.
"We thank you for your patience and understanding while these projects are completed," said Matt Messerly, Wright County's Construction Manager. Information about the detour and ongoing work is available directly from the Wright County Highway Department's announcement.
For those seeking additional details or needing to reach out with concerns, Messerly's contact information has been made available, welcoming inquiries via email at [email protected] or by phone at 651-627-4386. Community members are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time as the county works on laying the foundation for a smoother, more secure driving experience in the years to come.
