An 18-year-old has died following a shooting in Mattapan. The Boston Police Department confirmed that G’Kiyah Lewis, a Malden resident, was killed in a triple shooting on Hiawatha Road. Officers from District B-3 responded to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 1:24 p.m. on last Saturday, and found three individuals with gunshot wounds, including Lewis.
Emergency medical services transported all three victims to local hospitals for treatment. G’Kiyah Lewis was pronounced dead last Friday. The two other adult male victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to a statement from the Boston Police Department. No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward to assist in the investigation. The Boston Police Department requests that witnesses contact the Homicide Unit directly or submit anonymous tips through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line, which accepts calls, texts, and online submissions. The department assures that the identities of individuals providing anonymous information will be protected.
