
A tragic turn of events unfolded on a Clermont County roadway last Thursday evening when a multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 63-year-old Batavia resident and left three others injured. According to FOX 19, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed these details in the wake of the incident.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. as Scott Temple drove his 2004 Ford Ranger westward on State Route 32 – it is there the vehicle veered off the road, crossed the median, and, without a moment's respite, smashed head-on into an oncoming 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, an event that precipitated further collisions involving a 2014 Honda Odyssey and a 2000 Honda Accord, detailed in a release by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Local 12.
Temple was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but ultimately succumbed, as "the driver of the Ford Ranger, Scott Temple, 63, of Batavia, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died," the Ohio State Highway Patrol stated in their news release reported by FOX 19.
After the incident, State Route 32 was closed for almost four hours while authorities and emergency responders dealt with the wreckage and the injured.
