Arizonans have new ways to support local causes as ADOT introduces specialty plates benefiting Ovarian Cancer Awareness, the Verde Valley Wine Trail, and the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation. Specialty plates cost $25 annually, with $17 going to the associated cause, according to ABC15.
MVD Director Eric Jorgensen said, “Specialty license plates offer a fun way to put that personal touch on a vehicle and show your proud support for one of these uniquely Arizona organizations.” Last fiscal year, these plates generated more than $14.5 million for charities statewide, as reported by ABC15.
Arizona has released new specialty license plates that support the Verde Valley Wine Trail, ovarian cancer awareness, and the Phoenix Mercury, with funds from the Mercury plate directed to the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation. The plates were approved by the Arizona Legislature, and all available designs can be viewed through ADOT’s list of more than 100 options, as per 12News.
