A high-speed chase in Trousdale County on Tuesday last week led to multiple charges for an adult passenger, while a juvenile was released to parental custody. A sheriff’s deputy spotted a black car speeding on Walnut Grove Rd and attempted to pull it over. The driver fled, leading the deputy on a pursuit across Hwy 25 W and Carey Rd before stopping on Oldham Rd, as per the Trousdale County Sheriff's Department's Facebook post.
The adult passenger and a juvenile exited the vehicle, and the driver escaped. The deputy detained the remaining individuals and found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun. The adult passenger was charged with multiple crimes.
The driver was located in Davidson County and arrested on Wednesday, then taken to Trousdale County Jail. Names and specific charges have not been released.
