Arizona House Speaker Steve Montenegro announced new staff appointments and promotions within the House Republican Majority. According to an official announcement, Kelsey Jahntz has been named Deputy Chief of Staff, Robyn Poole will serve as General Counsel, and Daniel Tilleman will take on the role of Deputy General Counsel. According to the Arizona Legislature’s official press release, the changes are intended to strengthen the House Republican Majority’s staff.
Kelsey Jahntz, who rejoined the House earlier this year as Director of Policy, was promoted based on her experience in policy, management, and budgeting across legislative, gubernatorial, and consulting roles. Robyn Poole, with a background in state and municipal government law, will advise on legal matters, oversee legislative investigations, and support ethical compliance. Daniel Tilleman, who specializes in constitutional law, will assist in legal and governance matters for the House Republican Majority.
Jahntz has more than a decade of experience in education, workforce, and fiscal policy initiatives. Poole’s legal background includes work with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and advisory roles with the Arizona Corporation Commission and other public agencies. Tilleman joins from the law firm Holtzman Vogel.
