
An Atlanta motorist faced multiple charges following a traffic violation last Friday. According to the Atlanta Police Department's report, Mr. Rodarius Green was apprehended after allegedly driving recklessly near Defoor Ave NW and Taylor St NW. The incident occurred when an officer spotted Green's Dodge Challenger accelerating through a stop sign at approximately 7:25 PM.
The police officer decided to quickly follow and conduct a traffic stop at a gas station located at 1678 Howell Mill Rd NW. During the encounter, it became known that Mr. Green was armed; the officer discovered a firearm in his waistband. The officer also reported smelling what was suspected to be marijuana emanating from the vehicle, leading to a further search. This search revealed the presence of suspected marijuana and other controlled substances.
The charges against Mr. Green include Reckless Driving, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. The detailed accusations stem from materials and evidence found during the vehicle search subsequent to the traffic violation.
