The City of Atlanta is opening two warming centers to help residents stay safe during expected cold temperatures. The first center is at Central Park Recreation Center, 400 Merritts Ave. NE, and the second is at Old Adamsville Recreation Center, 3404 Delmar Ln NW, according to the City of Atlanta’s official website.
Nightly transportation will be available at 8:00 p.m. from the Gateway Center, with Fulton County providing return transit when the centers close. Activation times may change based on updates from the National Weather Service.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and use these centers as needed during colder weather.
