According to Fox Baltimore, the closure notice came as a Facebook announcement last Friday, indicating that the landlord has opted not to renew the lease, giving the business a 45-day timeline to vacate the premises.
The rink, a staple for skate lessons, private parties, and public skating sessions, faces its end despite decades of creating family fun and lifelong memories, the nostalgia has been palpable in the community response online "Wow. End of an era," one patron shared in a Facebook comment, a testament to the establishment's longstanding presence, WMAR-2 News detailed.
The farewell post from Skateland Putty Hill also included a heartfelt thanks to their customers for years of support and patronage.
