
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has announced the arrest of 56-year-old Charles Bennett of Blairsville, Georgia, in connection with an assault that left a man critically injured. Bennett is charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's official website.
The incident occurred early on Wednesday, when Union County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at a home on Pleasant Hill Road. They found a man with severe injuries, who was airlifted to a trauma center. Bennett, who was also at the scene, was taken into custody and received medical treatment before being booked into the Union County Detention Center.
