
Boston residents can expect changing weather conditions this week, with rain giving way to colder air and a chance of snow showers. Rain is expected mainly after 10 a.m. today, with areas of fog clearing by evening and gusty winds reaching up to 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Veterans Day will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 42 degrees and wind gusts up to 32 mph. Wednesday is forecast to be mostly cloudy with highs near 47, followed by partly sunny conditions Thursday with highs around 51. Temperatures are expected to drop heading into the weekend.
NBC Boston reports that temperatures will fall sharply by Tuesday morning, with wind chills possibly reaching the upper teens and gusts between 30 and 40 mph. This cold air could produce a brief snow shower or flurry.
The National Weather Service expects temperatures to rise slightly by midweek, reaching the upper 40s on Wednesday.
However, NBC Boston notes that the strengthening Greenland Block later in the week may bring another round of cold air, lowering temperatures into the weekend.
Friday is expected to be sunny with highs near 47, and mostly sunny skies are likely to continue through Sunday with similar temperatures.
