
A large fire broke out today at a multi-family home on Train Street in Dorchester, leading the Boston Fire Department to classify it as a second-alarm fire. According to a social media post by the Department, the fire started around 8:30 a.m., affecting the rear of the building on the second and third floors. Additional resources were promptly dispatched to contain the fire.

Further developments were shared in an update from the Boston Fire Department. Deputy Chief Brian Tully provided information on the firefighting efforts and the aftermath of the incident. One firefighter was transported by Boston EMS due to injuries sustained during the response. The fire also displaced two residents and caused significant property damage, estimated at $500,000.
The Boston Fire Investigation Unit has been called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. Details of the investigation have not yet been released. The fire displaced residents, who are now dealing with the loss of their homes and personal belongings.
