The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has resumed its Forever Young Program for seniors, offering indoor fitness and social activities. The program, in partnership with Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF), aims to provide opportunities for seniors to stay active during the winter months.
As the frost begins to settle over Boston, the Forever Young Program will be convening within the cozy confines of the Carter Playground Bubble. According to a recent release from the city of Boston, this winterized version of the program includes an array of activities from bocce to cornhole, along with the chance for participants to walk around, socialize, and enjoy weekly special events.
The Forever Young Program sessions will take place every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., starting January 7 and running through March 2, 2026. The program is free for seniors, and no registration is required to participate.
The Carter Playground Bubble is located at 709 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02118.
