A Brockton man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing that left a 68-year-old man dead, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a social media post. The incident took place inside an apartment at 46 Spring Street last Friday, where the victim was found with multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the Office of the District Attorney.
Police said 70-year-old Tyrone Henderson was found inside the building and taken into custody shortly after the 911 call at 9:53 p.m. He faces charges of murder and failure to register as a sex offender, and investigators said the incident was not a random act, adding there is no threat to public safety, as stated by the Office of the District Attorney.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office found probable cause to arrest Henderson in connection with the death of an unidentified man, according to the Office of the District Attorney on their X account. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. Henderson will be arraigned in Brockton District Court, and the investigation remains ongoing.
