A series of unprovoked and violent attacks in the Bronx has culminated in the indictment of 23-year-old Jeremiah White. The Bronx District Attorney's office has charged White with a litany of offenses, including Attempted Murder and Assault, which spanned a rampage against six female victims, as young as 15, and up to 60 years old, in separate incidents. According to information released by the Bronx District Attorney's Office, the alleged attacks occurred in different neighborhoods, sowing terror among local communities.
In one heinous event, a woman had her hands shattered while trying to shield her face from a metal pipe. White was arraigned on November 10, facing charges including Attempted Murder in the second degree, first-degree Assault, and various counts of Attempted Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. As reported by the Bronx District Attorney's Office, "The defendant allegedly terrorized multiple Bronx neighborhoods" while aiming his aggression at random female pedestrians. Supreme Court Justice Kim Parker presided over the arraignment, with White being remanded until his next court appearance set for January 7, 2026.
The indictment details the heartbreaking brutality of the October assaults, describing how, on October 15 at around 5:00 a.m., near 69 West Tremont Avenue, White allegedly struck a 60-year-old woman in the face and then threw a bag at her. Merely 20 minutes later, another woman, aged 45, was attacked near West 176th Street with a metal pipe, leading to her requiring surgery for shattered hand bones. Furthermore, White is accused of slamming a metal pipe down onto a 15-year-old's head, necessitating staples, and hitting a 54-year-old woman in the face outside of 1372 Franklin Avenue.
The aforementioned incidents are just part of a spree that includes assaults on a 33-year-old mother with her children and a 17-year-old teen on a moving train on separate occasions earlier in the same month. Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark thanked NYPD Detective Christopher Madden of the 46 Precinct for his diligent effort on this case. Assistant District Attorney Amanda Hamilton and Major Case Assistant District Attorney Michael Ainis, with "the supervision of Michael Schordine, Deputy Chief of Trial Bureau 60, and Susanna Imbo, Chief of Trial Bureau 60," are leading the prosecution effort, the details of which were released in the Bronx District Attorney's Office press statement.
