A person was seriously hurt in a dirt bike accident in Carver. Fire, police, and EMS worked together to reach the remote area, which regular vehicles couldn’t access, according to the Carver Fire Department Facebook post.

The patient was located far from the main roads, in a terrain that ambulances couldn't navigate. A specially equipped utility terrain vehicle (UTV) belonging to the Carver Fire Department was used to extricate the injured rider. "The Carver public safety team responded to a dirt bike accident with a seriously injured rider," the department stated on social media.

After being rescued, the person was taken to the Carver Fire Department headquarters, where a Boston MedFlight helicopter picked them up and flew them to a Boston trauma center. Staying ready for more than one emergency at a time is important for public safety, and Carver showed that during the incident. The department said they also responded to a fire alarm at a group home for people with disabilities while dealing with the dirt bike accident.
