
In a tragic start to Thanksgiving morning, a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of one individual in Cincinnati's Price Hill neighborhood. Official reports from FOX19 state the incident took place at 4029 West 8th St. at approximately 1:19 a.m. A 2010 Ford Escape traveling eastbound on West 8th Street collided with a 2012 Acura TL moving southbound on Rosemont Avenue, resulting in the Acura driver's death.
While the investigation continues, tragically, Sergeant Anthony Mitchell of the Cincinnati Police shared that the driver of the Acura succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, as reported by FOX19. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed at this time. The driver of the Ford, after the incident, fled the scene on foot, potentially leaving behind a scene of desperation and confusion.
WLWT adds that the Cincinnati Police Department is calling upon witnesses of the crash to come forward and contact their Traffic Unit. Police strongly believe that impairment and excessive speed are key factors that contributed to the fatal event. Whether the occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision is still uncertain.
According to Local12, the unidentified Ford driver, who is now on the run, appeared to have left at least one passenger unharmed in the aftermath of the crash.
