Clayton County’s Office of Emergency Management/ORS, Parks & Recreation, Fire, and Police Departments worked with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) to conduct an emergency response drill at Spivey Splash Waterpark.
The exercise simulated a missing child and medical emergency to test coordination among agencies and identify areas for improvement. According to the Clayton County Government official release, the drill evaluated the facility’s transition procedures, communication systems, and overall emergency response.
Officials said the exercise helped highlight gaps and improve protocols to ensure agencies are better prepared for real emergencies.
