The Collierville Police Department has been actively investigating a sexual assault reported to have occurred on October 8 at St. George’s Independent School, with the department disclosing that recently executed search warrants have led to charges related to the case. According to a social media post by the Collierville Police Department, two individuals in Olive Branch have been charged with evidence tampering as a result of these warrants, and a third individual faced unrelated drug charges.
As the investigation continues to widen its scope, a second report of sexual assault emerged, dating back to September 12. "CPD is actively investigating this report as well," the Collierville Police Department's post stated, and this new victim's account is believed to be connected to the same suspect involved in the October incident. This emerging pattern of offenses on the school campus has prompted a joint investigation by CPD Detectives and the Shelby County Child Protective Investigation Team, combing through interviews and evidence with the aid of the Olive Branch Police Department.
The Collierville Police Department has expressed gratitude for the support provided by the neighboring Olive Branch Police in this ongoing matter, with the collaborative effort highlighting the complexities inherent in such sensitive investigations. While charges have been laid concerning the manipulation of evidence and unrelated drug offenses, the principal focus remains on addressing the sexual assault allegations linked to a potentially serial perpetrator.
