Collierville is set to sparkle with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Town Square, marking the beginning of the holiday festivities. The town's residents and visitors are invited to gather on November 25, as the celebrations start at 5:30pm, according to an announcement made by the Town of Collierville. Hot chocolate will be served complimentary by the local Mayor and Board of Aldermen, to warm the hearts, and hands, of those who attend.
The evening will also feature a live holiday concert by The Park Hill Billies, starting just as the cups of hot chocolate are being passed around. This one-hour performance will commence at 5:30pm and promises a compilation of Christmas classics for all to sing along to. As the clock strikes 7pm, all eyes will be on the towering Christmas tree and the Town Square as nearly a quarter of a million lights brighten the night sky.
The holiday magic doesn't end with the twinkling lights, the Town of Collierville reports. Post-illumination, Santa Claus will be available for pictures in the Gazebo. Families are encouraged to capture these moments until approximately 8 pm.
