77-year-old Gary Stubblefield has been charged with 32 counts of aggravated sexual battery and continuous sexual abuse following a two-year investigation into the alleged abuse of an 8-year-old child. He was arrested at his home and is held on a $250,000 bond. Covington Police Chief Donna Turner said, "I commend the men and women at the Covington Police Department who have diligently investigated, interviewed, arrested, and collected evidence in these cases over the recent months to present to the District Attorney’s Office for review and prosecution." All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty, according to the Covington Police Department on their Facebook page.
