A traffic violation in Pacifica rapidly escalated into a multi-city chase and an arrest for multiple felony charges. Last Saturday, Pacifica officers attempted to pull over a driver near Reina Del Mar and SR-1. However, the situation intensified when the suspect fled, and a pursuit ensued, according to the Pacifica Police Department.
Considering the potential danger to the public, officers opted to terminate the chase quickly. Yet, they managed to track down the vehicle and its 42-year-old driver, a resident of Daly City, in a neighboring city, thanks to ALPR (Automated License Plate Recognition) technology.
Upon apprehension, the suspect was found to possess an unserialized firearm, also known as a "ghost gun," in addition to narcotics and an illegal weapon. The Daly City resident was subsequently booked into the San Mateo County Jail on several felony charges, according to the Pacifica Police Department's social media post.
