The rest of the week in Knoxville will have mostly clear skies, highs near 70°F by Wednesday, and lows in the mid-40s at night. On Friday, there is a 30% chance of showers in the afternoon, increasing to a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.
The National Weather Service said travelers should "allow extra time to reach your destination." Fog will lift this morning, and no severe weather is expected. Rain and a chance of thunderstorms are possible later in the week. The weekend will have lower chances of precipitation, though slight showers may continue through Sunday.
