The Detroit Police Department is calling on the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Jacob Thompson, who has been reported missing in Detroit. According to a news release from ClickOnDetroit, Thompson was expected to return to his residence on the 15800 block of Gilchrist Street after school yesterday, but he never made it home.
Jacob was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans. His mother has disclosed that he is grappling with depression and an intellectual disorder, adding layers of concern to his disappearance. The teenager is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, with brown hair, brown eyes, and weighing around 180 pounds. In an effort to spread the word about Thompson's disappearance, the Detroit Police Department's Missing has also made a plea on social media. A Facebook post from the department expresses the urgency of the situation: "Please help us find missing Jacob Thompson. If you have any information, please call the Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct at 313-596-5840."
