El Paso County has been rocked by the recent arrest of a local man on allegations of serious sexual abuse. According to a social media post from El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, an investigation ensued quickly on Wednesday, after a report of sexual abuse was made to the Sheriff's Office. At the center of this investigation is Michael Duane Greenwell, a 49-year-old resident of Fabens, Texas.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit, executing a search warrant at Greenwell's residence on Island Road, were part of the ensuing investigative efforts. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued on three counts of Continuous Sexual Abuse, with the Court setting a bond at a staggering $250,000. Located shortly after, Greenwell is currently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, according to a social media post by El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte.
As reported by the sheriff's office, the legal process is now set into motion. Greenwell will likely face the consequences of the charges brought against his person if found guilty in a court of law.
