Key items on the agenda include approving the minutes from the November 6 meeting and reviewing potential conflicts of interest among commission members. The commission will also consider a rezoning request from a local resident, Daniel Lewis. Attendees wishing to speak will be recognized by the Chair, and their name and address will be recorded for transparency.
Daniel Lewis is requesting to down-zone three parcels on W Doe Avenue from M-1 (Manufacturing-Warehouse) Restricted Manufacturing and Warehouse District to R-3 High Density Residential District. The parcels involved are 41B-L-29.00, 41B-L-28.00, and 41B-L-27.00, which correspond to 215 W Doe Avenue, 205 W Doe Avenue, and 111 W Doe Avenue.
In addition to the rezoning request, the commission will review and approve the 2026 Planning Commission Meeting Schedule under “Other Business,” as per the City of Elizabethton. The meeting will provide an opportunity for public comments and updates on city planning. The session will conclude with the customary adjournment after the final agenda item.
