A new center dedicated to the health and wellness of military personnel, veterans, and first responders has been unveiled in East El Paso. According to KTSM, the Endeavors Health and Wellness Center celebrated its grand opening with fanfare on Thursday, aiming to serve a community with a strong presence of veterans and active military families.
The facility, reported as “first-of-its-kind” in El Paso, is a replication of the flagship wellness center located in San Antonio. Endeavors CEO Chip Fulghum remarked on the organization's excitement regarding the center's potential to serve over 200,000 individuals in the community, calling the expansion "exciting" for Endeavors in a statement obtained by KTSM. A collaboration with local leaders and organizations is key to the success of the initiative, with the new center positioned by Pebble Hills and Joe Battle.
The center's offerings, as detailed by KVIA, include on-site wellness services and a fitness center with adaptive equipment designed for those with injuries and disabilities. Of note is the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, providing confidential mental health care to veterans and their families, a critical resource in a landscape often marred by the unseen wounds of service.
