The town has announced that residential crack sealing will start the week of November 17, targeting streets near Saguaro and Fountain Hills Boulevards. For those unfamiliar, this process fills the pavement crevices with modified asphalt rubber, warding off water that can lead to further damage. According to the Town of Fountain Hills announcement, this preventive maintenance is for streets that are still holding up rather well.
If you live in the Red Section, expect crews to kick things off on November 17, but they'll be taking a break on Thanksgiving and won't be around during the weeks of Christmas and New Year's. They're scheduled to complete their work by December 5. Next up is the Green Section, with work starting December 8 and slated to wrap on the 19, followed closely by the Yellow Section commencing January 5 through the 16.
While the crews will do their best to allow access to driveways, neighborhood streets, and the like, parking restrictions will be in place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. So keep your eyes peeled for signs and barricades, and stay alert for contractors and local law enforcement who might be in the area.
