The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested 36-year-old Jessica Motes of Gainesville on multiple charges, including Malice Murder and Felony Murder, in connection with the death of a 4-year-old child. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation report, Motes also faces charges of Aggravated Battery and Cruelty to Children in the first degree. These charges follow her earlier arrest for Concealing a Death.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Oakwood Police Department and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office last month to assist in investigating the child’s death. Evidence collected during the investigation led to Motes’s arrest. She is currently being held at the Hall County Detention Center.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated that the investigation remains active. Once completed, the case will be turned over to the Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
