
An arrest has been made in connection with a Gresham shooting that took place last month. Christopher Hernandez, 27, was arrested on Tuesday after a warrant was served at a residence on the 2300 block of SE 7th Street by Gresham detectives and East Metro SWAT members. According to the City of Gresham’s official website, Hernandez faces charges including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
The incident occurred last month at a sports bar in the 1500 block of NE Division Street. During a disturbance outside the bar, Hernandez allegedly tried to shoot another individual, and a stray bullet struck 30-year-old Myranda Rice of Sandy, who was not involved in the altercation. Rice sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities stated that the investigation remains ongoing and that additional arrests may occur.
