Casino president Mark Birtha said, "We have built this in a manner that as soon as we know that it is approved legislatively, we will be able to convert it to phase two and then have the ability to have kiosks in a sports betting window and the ability to begin to offer that amenity when the time comes," according to KCRA.
The Enterprise Rancheria tribe is working with legislators and other tribes on sports betting in California. Birtha said, "The Enterprise Rancheria tribe, they've been committed to reinvesting in the property, creating new jobs, building economic development in the region, and making sure that we continue to have an impact." The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento recently donated $10,000 to the Yuba City College athletics program. Local casino patron Bill Bowers said, "We go to quite a few of the casinos around here, so I can't imagine what sports betting, how much more revenue they would generate, and the people that come out to them, it's a win-win situation," as per KCRA.
