Following community complaints, the Holyoke Police Department arrested two individuals in connection with drug dealing at a Maple Street apartment building. The operation took place around 8:50 p.m. yesterday as part of a focused effort by detectives and officers to address reported narcotics activity in the area.

According to the Holyoke Police Department's Facebook post, detectives from Holyoke’s Criminal Investigations/Narcotics Bureau, including Sgt. Dustin Summers and Detectives Ashley Feliciano, William Lebrun, and John Wagner, conducted surveillance at 462 Maple Street. They observed Anthony Broden and Angel Garcia-Sanchez, who were suspected of drug sales. Broden was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug-related offenses, while Garcia-Sanchez attempted to flee but was quickly detained.

A search led to the recovery of approximately 132 vials of crack cocaine, 70 bags of heroin/fentanyl, and $366 in cash. Both suspects—41-year-old Anthony Broden of West Springfield and 24-year-old Angel Garcia-Sanchez of Chicopee—face multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute Class A and B substances, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and trespassing.
