A road-rage incident on Monday led to the arrest of an individual on charges of driving while intoxicated and issuing a terroristic threat, as reported by the Horizon City Police Department via a social media post. HCPD officers, responding to the call in a neighborhood, observed signs of intoxication from the suspect, identified as Delgado, who was then detained for further investigation.
As the situation unfolded, Delgado exhibited a refusal to undergo Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and also chose not to provide a breath or blood sample. Consequently, a blood search warrant was obtained by the authorities, followed by the collection of a blood sample. According to the Horizon City Police Department, Delgado was transported to the county detention facility, where he was booked with a bond set at $2,000 for the DWI charge and $1,000 for the terroristic threat.
The HCPD's post on the matter also expressed gratitude towards the community for their vigilance and assistance in reporting unsafe and suspicious behavior. They remind the public to contact the Horizon City Police Department or call 911 for emergencies involving dangerous driving or other urgent circumstances on the roadways.
