The property, once owned by Ronny Hazel, the late founder of the local business Shop Therapy, has long served as both a residence and a gathering place for artists, according to Boston.com. Following Hazel’s death in May, the house is seeking a new owner who can continue its creative legacy.
Painted in yellow and lime green, the property features a sculpture garden with works by local artists including Pierre Riche, Michael Kacergis, and Carl Tasha. Listing agent Pilar Colleran, a RISD-educated painter, noted that the collection also includes contributions from artists such as Peter Catchpole and Richard Pepitone, Boston.com reported.
Originally built around 1870 as a parsonage, the house was later transformed by Hazel in the 1990s into a colorful and art-filled residence. The listing from Keller Williams highlights ocean views from every bedroom, a third-floor suite with a private deck overlooking the Atlantic, and a total of four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms within its 3,312-square-foot layout.
Ronny Hazel’s son, Keith Hazel, told Boston.com that he hopes the next owner will maintain the property’s tradition of openness and creativity that has long defined the home’s character.
