
Johnson City Public Works will begin roadwork on West Oakland Avenue starting tomorrow. The project will involve milling and paving along the stretch between North State of Franklin Road and the Reserve I at 1084 West Oakland Avenue. Work hours will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, with temporary lane closures and flaggers directing traffic. The project is expected to finish by Friday, depending on weather and other conditions, according to Johnson City website.
On Wednesday, additional utility work will take place on West Mountainview Road between West Oakland Avenue and Knob Creek Road. This work will occur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and may cause delays. Flaggers will be present to assist drivers through the area.
Motorists are advised to use caution, follow posted signs, and allow extra time for travel while work is underway.
