A kidnapping that began at a McDonald’s in Davie led to a police pursuit and ended in a crash in Pompano Beach, resulting in five arrests. According to CBS News Miami, the incident started Thursday when a 21-year-old man was forced into a vehicle by two individuals and Lamar Perry after Perry took his phone. The victim was taken to Fort Lauderdale, forced out of the vehicle, and assaulted.

The victim contacted authorities, and using his phone GPS, police tracked the vehicle to Pompano Beach. NBC Miami reported that the vehicle collided with a light pole, and the suspects attempted to flee on foot. Multiple agencies responded, including Fort Lauderdale Police, Davie Police, and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The suspects, 30-year-old Tracey Ross, 18-year-old Lamar Perry, 18-year-old Timothy Brown, and two juveniles, face criminal charges. Ross is charged with kidnapping, causing bodily harm or terror, fleeing from police at high speed, and resisting without violence. Perry faces charges including kidnapping, grand theft of a motor vehicle, resisting without violence, possession of a firearm by a minor, and burglary. Timothy Brown also faces kidnapping charges.

After their arrest, Davie Police transferred the suspects to the BSO main jail and juvenile assessment center as authorities continue investigating the incident.
