The Lake Havasu City Police Department is urgently seeking the public's assistance in a disturbing case of animal cruelty. On November 18, two cats and a dog were found abandoned in a wire kennel on the 1300 block of McCulloch Boulevard North. According to the police press release, the animals were discovered without any food or water and were exposed to the harsh elements outside.
In an effort to quickly identify the owner or person responsible, the department has released photographs of the neglected animals. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information to boldly step forward and assist in the investigation. The Lake Havasu City Police Department can be reached at (928) 855-1171. For those wishing to remain anonymous, tips can be submitted to Lake Havasu Silent Witness at 928-854-TIPS (8477), or through the HavasuNOW App.
Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, serving as the Public Information Officer, has emphasized the urgency and importance of community support in cases like these. Without witnesses or leads, holding the responsible party accountable becomes a daunting challenge.
The local community has been quick to respond with calls and emails, hoping that their efforts will help to guarantee justice for the defenseless animals. The department encourages continued vigilance and reminds the public to report concerns either by using the HavasuNOW App or by sending an email to [email protected]. In these critical times, the role of bystanders becomes pivotal to not just solve animal cruelty cases, but to prevent future incidents by fostering a community of care and accountability.
