The Wilson County Convention & Visitor's Bureau is turning its historic post office in Lebanon, Tennessee, into a North Pole Post Office where visitors can send letters directly to Santa Claus. Tourism Director Jason Johnson said, "The certification wasn’t easy," adding, "Especially since we're only mailing to one address, but the North Pole/Christmas side of our training was a little stressful," according to the Wilson County.
The post office, located at 203 E. Main St., will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and during local holiday events like the Lebanon Christmas Parade on December 7 and Christmas on the Square on December 13. This initiative invites the community to participate in holiday traditions while showcasing the CVB’s engagement in seasonal activities, as reported by the Wilson County.
Wilson County’s holiday operation includes “A reindeer landing pad on the roof for the Express Mail!?!” Johnson said, showing the CVB’s effort for authenticity. Edwards Feed provided a special North Pole Reindeer Blend of deer corn and candy canes for Santa’s reindeer. The North Pole Post Office will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Otherwise, the operation is running for visitors.
