
A Lynn man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2021 murder of Sherell Pringle.Yesterday, 48-year-old Bruce Maiben received the sentence after being found guilty of first-degree murder, according to the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker.
Pringle, 40, of Woburn, was reported missing on December 19, 2021. Her body was discovered two days later off Route 107 in Saugus. Maiben was arrested and arraigned on December 23, 2021, in Lynn District Court, and the case was later transferred to Superior Court following a grand jury indictment.
Prosecutor Kate MacDougall, Assistant District Attorney Lindsay Nasson, and Victim/Witness Advocate Rocky Yaniv led the prosecution, while Maiben was represented by attorney John Morris. The investigation involved the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, Lynn Police Department, Woburn Police Department, and Boston Police Department.
Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker stated that the verdict ensures accountability for the crime and expressed hope that the decision brings some comfort to Pringle’s family and friends.
