
A man was killed last night after being struck by a vehicle on West Main Street in Georgetown. According to Boston 25 News, the collision involved a 2018 BMW 430xi Coupe and occurred shortly before 6 p.m.
Emergency crews transported the adult male victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Essex County District Attorney’s office confirmed. WCVB reported the crash took place near 50 West Main Street around 5:41 p.m. It is unclear if the man was in a crosswalk at the time. The BMW driver remained at the scene, and no information on potential charges has been released.
The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services, and the Georgetown Police Department are handling the investigation. Further details are expected as the inquiry continues.
