A shooting occurred outside a Clarkston adult club last Saturday morning, leaving one man dead and another critically injured. The Clarkston Police Department said they received the call just before 4 a.m. at 1353 Brockett Road.
Gary Matthews, 31, of Lithonia, was found dead at the scene after a shooting during his birthday celebration. Four people, including Matthews, two men, and two women, were inside a vehicle when two men got out of a Jeep and opened fire. The suspects fled and evaded police. The Jeep was later found abandoned, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
A second victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and his condition is unclear, as reported by 11Alive. It is unknown what caused the shooting, if the victims and suspects knew each other, or what evidence was found.
