Atlanta police reported a shooting late last night in which a 49-year-old man was injured. Officers received a call around 12:11 a.m. about a shooting at 791 Metropolitan Parkway SW. They found the man with a gunshot wound to his left arm. He was conscious and breathing and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting followed a verbal dispute that turned violent. The victim was involved in an altercation with a known individual. The Atlanta Police Department stated that the Major Crimes Response Team is leading the investigation.
