The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a brief forecast for the coming days, anticipating a mix of sun and showers. Today's weather is expected to be partly sunny post a slight chance of morning showers, with highs nearing a comfortable 77 degrees Fahrenheit. While chances of rain are a slim 20%, the South southwest winds will be noticeable, blowing between 10 to 15 mph and gusting up to 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service Memphis forecast.
As nighttime approaches, the chance for rain minimally increases, with a possibility of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of more showers between midnight and 1am. The rest of the night is to remain partly cloudy, with lows hovering around 63 degrees and South southwest winds calming down to 5 to 10 mph. The forecast for Wednesday suggests partly sunny skies once again, with similar high temperatures but shifting winds, which are expected to start out West and turn North in the afternoon, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Heading into Thursday, the likelihood of wet weather rises, with showers and even a potential thunderstorm on the horizon. Overcast conditions will prevail, and temperatures are projected to hit highs slightly lower at around 73 degrees. A 60% chance of precipitation comes attached to new rainfall amounts that could reach between a quarter and half an inch. The continuation into Thursday night doesn't look any drier; a chance of showers and thunderstorms will persist past midnight, with forecasted temperatures sitting at a low around 63 degrees and a 80% chance of precipitation, as noted by the National Weather Service.
Friday's daytime promises more in the way of rain, specifically showers that are mainly expected before noon. Temperature readings will match the previous day's high, again peaking near 73, with continued South southwest winds at approximately 10 mph and another round of an 80% chance of precipitation. As daylight wanes into Friday evening, so too does the certainty of rain, with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms leading into mostly cloudy night skies and lows near 55 degrees, as per the National Weather Service.
