Eight individuals were arrested in a collaborative operation between the Memphis Police Department (MPD) and the Memphis Safe Task Force, according to multiple reports. The operation, dubbed "All of Boyd Round TWO," targeted an area on Boyd Street, known for frequent drug and gang activity. The law enforcement agencies executed multiple search warrants, resulting in the bust, according to FOX13 Memphis.

As part of the operation, officers netted over four pounds of marijuana, one firearm, and about $1,000 in cash, FOX13 Memphis reported. Arrests made included charges for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and additional charges for previously convicted felons in possession of a firearm.

Among the arrested were individuals such as Larry Lindsey, 38, who faced multiple counts related to controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia, and L.C. Love, 46, who was also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Keosha Griggs and Donald McCoy faced separate charges unrelated to drug offenses, with Griggs arrested on an identity theft warrant and McCoy for theft of property, as WREG informed.

Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis articulated the sentiment behind the operation, "When we remove drugs, guns, and repeat offenders from our streets, we are taking meaningful steps toward a Stronger, Safer Memphis," in, a statement obtained by Action News 5. The Memphis Safe Task Force representative Ryan Guay echoed this, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency collaboration in the collective effort to build safer communities in Memphis.
