Miami residents can expect a series of mostly cloudy days ahead, with temperatures hovering in the low to mid-80s, according to forecast reports. Humidity levels, which briefly dropped to make for a pleasant Tuesday morning, are expected to rise again over the next several days. The National Weather Service predicts today's highs will be near 81 degrees with breezy north-northeast winds reaching 13 to 16 mph, and gusts as strong as 23 mph. The evening forecast shows a low around 73 degrees with continued breezy conditions.
The region is also bracing for another round of king tides this week, starting concurrently with a supermoon on Tuesday evening. As NBC Miami reports, "The supermoon simply means we are closer to the moon during this orbit, so it’s slightly bigger and brighter in the sky, but that also means slightly higher high tides, too." These conditions could lead to potential flooding during high tides lasting through the weekend, with coastal flood statements in place. The heightened winds could also impact conditions at high tide throughout the period.
Looking towards the middle of the week, the National Weather Service forecasts that Wednesday will continue to see mostly cloudy skies with a high near 82 degrees, and east winds 10 to 13 mph, including gusts as high as 20 mph. Temperatures are expected to stay near seasonal norms into the weekend, albeit with increasing heat.
By the time Friday arrives, there is a 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon, and the high is anticipated to be around 83 degrees, reports NBC Miami. The weekend then brings a slight warming trend with highs reaching the mid-80s, and an incoming front by Monday is expected to disrupt the stable pattern, potentially bringing a return of higher humidity levels and a chance of showers.
