Boston muralist and comics artist Michael Talbot will present his new exhibition "Conversations With Time" at Gallery 344 in Cambridge from Monday next week through Jan. 16, 2026. The opening includes a free reception with a poetry reading at 6 p.m.
According to the City of Cambridge release, the exhibition features Talbot's latest paintings and highlights his upcoming mural in Gold Star Mothers Park, funded through Cambridge's Percent-for-Art Ordinance, which allocates 1 percent of city construction costs to public art. Talbot's work can be found in locations such as Cambridge Crossing, Gillette Stadium, and Boston Children's Hospital, and he has collaborated with local muralists including ProBlak, GoFive, Soems, and Deme5.
"Conversations With Time" is inspired by Talbot's graphic novel series "Atlas" and explores themes of time, memory, and perception. Talbot asks, "What would you say to Time if you got the chance?" The exhibition extends into the gallery space, incorporating the environment alongside the paintings to create an immersive experience. The work examines concepts such as déjà vu and jamais vu and reflects the narrative of the graphic novel, where the protagonist Atlas faces a choice between becoming the Guardian of Time or leading an ordinary life, as per the City of Cambridge release.
