Commuters in Miller are advised of an upcoming road closure as MoDOT crews conduct maintenance work next week. On November 12, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 5th Street at Missouri Route 39 will be closed to allow for the replacement of a damaged pipe beneath the roadway, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The closure will block all lanes of 5th Street in Miller at the intersection with Route 39. Access to driveways and entrances at both ends of the construction area will remain open, but through traffic will not be permitted. MoDOT advises motorists to use alternate routes while the work is underway, noting that drivers will not be able to travel directly through the work zone.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and check MoDOT’s website for current updates on road closures and traffic conditions. No signed detours will be provided, so drivers will need to use alternate routes or rely on GPS navigation to avoid the construction area.
