Milwaukee braces for a carousel of weather conditions this week, forecasts a mix of clouds, clear skies, and unsurprisingly for this time of the year, rain and even some chances of snow. As Milwaukeeans stirred to a mostly cloudy morning today with temperatures hovering around a cool 50°F, they should expect a gradual clearing with a high of 56 and breezy conditions, complete with gusts up to 30 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Clear skies are expected tonight with lows near 33. Clouds will increase on Thursday with a high around 53, and rain is likely after midnight, bringing an 80% chance of showers by early morning, according to the NWS.
Friday offers a slight reprieve with only a 20% chance of rain before noon and partly sunny skies. But those skies won't stay dry for long. The weekend forecast heralds a 40% chance of rain by Saturday afternoon and rain likely before transitioning into rain and snow late Saturday night—setting up a potential mix of slushy streets.
By Sunday, the odds of snow climb to 30%, under mostly sunny heavens, a high near a chilly 37 degrees is on the cards. Veterans Day will see partly sunny conditions with temperatures cresting at about 42. Residents might do well to keep their winter gear handy; forecasts indicate a recurring chance of snow as the new week opens. According to the NWS, Monday carries a 20% probability of snow showers during the day and at night, with temperatures firmly entrenched in the mid-30s.
